Nascent Entrepreneur Salon (NES for short) is first launched in October 2011 in Global Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Nanjing University for entrepreneurs, venture capital institutions, entrepreneurs, scientific and technological communities, students aspiring to entrepreneurship, public officials and other  social workers, serving as an integrated entrepreneurial platform combining entrepreneurial knowledge exchange, experience sharing, brainstorming and cooperation.   

Nascent Entrepreneur Salon aims to create opportunities for passionate entrepreneurs and dreamers to connect, to solve various problems and difficulties encountered by entrepreneurs in the practice, to improve comprehensive competitiveness of startups in the complex market competition, to find and shape the future business elites. At the same time, Nascent Entrepreneur Salon will also collect upstream and downstream resources in entrepreneurial platforms, develop, invest and foster entrepreneurial projects (ideas) at early stage through Global Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Nanjing University, the great high-quality resource integration platform. The practicability and value transformation capability of Nascent Entrepreneur Salon will be further enhanced through activities including business connection, investment connection and entrepreneurship summit in order to better serve start-ups and bring greater value for entrepreneurs.   

Nascent Entrepreneur Salon Demo Day activities include following three parts:   

1. Special guests are invited share views on hot topics and issues in industries, investment trends and cutting-edge technology;   

2. All present participants will have the chance to interact with each other freely;   

3. Special guests and participants can exchange views in-depth through entrepreneurial project road-show.   

We have also extended this model to other universities in Nanjing and science and technology parks. The following two activities are developed:   

Nascent Entrepreneur Salon in Campus.    

This is co-sponsored with the Entrepreneurship Association in each university, aiming to assist the association to develop campus business project (idea) in the early stage, to effectively activate the entrepreneurial resources in the university, to give full play of the entrepreneurial advantages of teachers and students, to nurture the innovative and entrepreneurial atmosphere of the university, to enhance corresponding ability and to help universities to be entrepreneurial universities.   

Nascent Entrepreneur Salon in Science Park   

Nascent Entrepreneur Salon is also held in major science and technology parks in Nanjing with the support of park management committees. It aims to help the management committees to integrate different resources, provide entrepreneurial ecology conducive to the development of enterprises, assist the enterprises in the park to solve the problems encountered in the development process and help the park develop into an engine in regional innovation economy.   

Forward-looking and pragmatic; inclusiveness and innovation; international vision. This is the three major core values of Nascent Entrepreneur Salon. NES will uphold these values in the future to make best of this platform. We welcome more entrepreneurs to join us, to better serve the entrepreneurs in Nanjing and to jointly create high-quality entrepreneurial ecology in the Yangtze River Delta region.
