Updates | Nanjing University facilitates Jiangsu’s industrial talents training program “Outstanding Talent and Renowned Craftsman”
On the morning of December 18, the opening ceremony of Jiangsu industrial talents training program “Outstanding Talent and Renowned Craftsman” took place at the lecture hall of Nanjing University library, Gulou Campus. The program was organized by Jiangsu Provincial Economic and Information Technology Commission and cohosted by Nanjing University’s Global Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship. The head of education and training section of the Commission, Ms. Feng Yanling, and the executive director of Scientific Entrepreneur Star Mass Entrepreneurship Space and advisor at the Global Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Ling Yuanyuan, were present at the ceremony, in addition to 67 entrepreneurs, senior executives and key technicians across the province.
During the ceremony, Ms. Feng articulated her appreciation to Nanjing University, and provided a brief introduction to the program. She also expressed her hopes for participants to seize the opportunity to study hard, obey the rules and communicate with fellow classmates and lecturers.
Mr. Ling welcomed all the students and introduced Nanjing University, as well as the university’s achievements in international innovation and entrepreneurship. He also walked students through the arrangement of the training session, and expressed his expectations towards participants’ attendance.
After the opening ceremony, the head of the school of environment at Nanjing University, Professor Ren Hongqiang gave a featured speech on “Scientific innovation in environmental industry during the 13the FYP and the development trend of water environment engineering technology”.
It is reported that the “Outstanding Talent and Renowned Craftsman” program is an important milestone to achieve the provincial party committee and provincial government’s strategy of strengthening the province through scientific progress and talents, which aims to cultivate high-quality industrial champions and skillful craftsman. The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Products Transformation Office of Nanjing University, as the executive institute of the 2017 “Outstanding Talent and Renowned Craftsman” program, will fully utilize its resource advantage and make contributions to cultivating talents in smart manufacturing.
