On the afternoon of August 8, the Exchange Camp of Student Representatives from 8 Provinces organized by the exchange division, Taiwan affairs office of Jiangsu Provincial Government, visited the Business Incubator Center for Youth Entrepreneurship. Deputy director of the center Peng Rongxin, and entrepreneurship mentor Xiao Lin received the student representatives.
Deputy director Peng illustrated the development history of Nanda Scientific Park and the Global Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, managerial structure and the team building of entrepreneurship mentors. He also she light upon the youth entrepreneurship salons and lean entpreneurship summer camps that the institute held in recent years. After that, director Peng led the student delegate on a tour of the entrepreneurship teams at the center.
The center invited the popular robots “Jiaojiao” and “Jiaojiao Jr” to the event. Jiaojiao’s manager Dong Jing introduced the development of NJU Electronics Information, and the product functions of Jiaojiao and Jiaojiao Jr. Jiaojiao Jr. has a higher height of 115 cm comparing with the previous version, with a UHD wide-angle camera. Its face screen also upgrades from the 7 inch TFT screen to the 10 inch HD Interative touch TFT color screen. The research of the latest generation of Ed sound robot fully employs the core technology advantages of Nanjing University and Institute of Acoustics Chinese Academy of Science in acoustic science and AI industry. The interactions between Jiaojiao and student representatives were remarkable and left deep impressions. Through this visit and later interactions, student representatives had a more direct understanding of entrepreneurship and smart robots, and broadened horizon.
